With our partner base rapidly expanding on a global level we are looking for a self-motivated Tech Operations engineer to further enhance our mobility marketplace, monitor our existing solutions and integrations with providers and demand partners. 

What you'll be doing

  • Configuration and proactive maintenance of Splyt monitoring tools
  • Continuous improvement monitoring tools in place to constantly make incremental gains in support excellence. These include process, training and automation of tasks
  • On call support, first line triaging and escalating to correct teams
  • Work with key Technology teams to onboard support for new products and / or platforms 
  • Be responsible for the creation and maintenance of a central Technology support wiki
  • Investigate bugs: Identify an issue’s root cause; Describe an issue’s symptoms; Quantify an issue’s scope and severity
  • Become an integral part of our start-up by contributing on a technical and personal level. 
  • Test new partner integrations. 
  • Work with the core London team with influence on design, architecture, development and business decisions. 

What we are looking for

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Tech operations engineer
  • Experience in tools for monitoring software
  • Previous use of tools such as: Kibana, Jira, MongoDB
  • Ability to understand and write SQL scripts to extract and update data from databases
  • Reasonable technical knowledge of Infrastructure, Networking and Application Development and support
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail for finding defects and solutions to technical issues
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, you will be working with multiple internal and external teams
  • Self starting drive and the ability to work effectively and proactively as part of a small team
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.

It's beneficial if you're also

  • BS degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical field of study.
  • Experience reading or writing code in a few different languages, or deep familiarity with one
  • Familiarity with modern web services and APIs
  • An affinity for learning new languages and technologies
  • A thoughtful and friendly communication style
  • Basic linux commands
