The People team currently consists of an experienced HR Operations Manager, as well as three driven internal recruiters, each for our offices in London, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. HR collaborates very closely on a daily basis with the Leadership team (CEO, CTO, and COO), the Management Team, and frankly, everyone in the company.  We have outsourcing partners for Payroll and suppliers of learning & development in each of our office locations. This is a very exciting time to join the company as we are preparing the People department for significant growth.

The role

We are looking for a Head of People (Head of HR) to join our Management Team in London. In this role, you will lead and implement a global HR strategy, roadmap, and organisation structure within Splyt to support the future growth plan of our company. 

The Head of People will have full responsibility for the Human Resources activity of our organisation, both driving people management strategy, and managing the HR team, procedures, and processes. 

The successful candidate is also expected to take a leadership role in developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance with our values and objectives.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the organisation’s global expansion of hiring and supporting in opening offices around the globe both strategically and operationally
  • Update and review performance reviews, HR policies, procedures and guidelines and enforce organisation values. Ensure that managers and staff are fully aware of HR policies
  • Lead and develop the HR team, including our recruitment team (across three countries)
  • Coordinate remuneration policies and advise senior management on staff salaries in reference to external benchmarks
  • Ensure legal compliance is met in all HR activities
  • Give counsel and oversee complex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases and manage difficult cases with professionalism
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on cost-effective training and employee development programmes
  • Continuously review the responsibilities of the HR department and make bold decisions when necessary
  • Act as the externally facing representative for HR for the organisation

What we are looking for

  • Min 5 years’ experience in a senior HR role
  • CIPD qualified with evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Strong track-record as an HR generalist, HR business partner, or change manager
  • Extensive experience of managing a team, including fast-paced recruitment
  • Faultless communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to see the strategic big picture, and continually problem solve toward that goal
  • Thorough working knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Ability to influence at all levels

It is beneficial if you also have

  • Experience on employment legislation in Singapore and/or Malaysia
  • Worked in a scale-up environment and experienced fast paced growth from People and headcount perspective
