Product Lead - Food Delivery 🍔

We are looking for a Product Lead to be the first dedicated team member as the product owner on our new Food Delivery sandbox team. This is a very hands-on role and the candidate is expected to lead the project from scratch and develop the new business line at Splyt: Food Delivery. 

This role is highly strategic, as it will establish growth opportunities for the next 2-5 years of the company’s business trajectory. While the project and the role itself has autonomy on the development of the business line, it will liaise with various functions of the existing Splyt business. The candidate will have exposure to a breadth of work across business development, product design, software development, and more.

What you'll be doing

• Establish, lead, direct and evolve Food delivery business line for the company
• Take complete ownership of the product roadmap, vision, strategy and execution
• Hire high-potential candidates across multiple functions to fill the project team, in alignment with the existing HR function and processes 
• Work closely with the existing Product, Design & Engineering team to create and implement architecture for new business during initial product phases
• Define and execute core updates and enhancements to the partner integrations of a Food SDK, to enable new end-user experiences for both testing and scaling.
• Partner-facing and internal API tooling strategy and execution (e.g. test tooling, mock utilities, developer portal capabilities)
• End-to-end owner of standardising partner on-boarding, development, testing, & integration
• Technical product and partner policy choices, including authentication and certification requirements
• Responsible for assessing and driving any API updates requested by partners, and internal stakeholders, consulting with legal, privacy, and engineers
• Creating reports based on data analysis for local and international stakeholders (BI and Leadership Team included)

What we are looking for

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a product management role.
• Ideally coming from a food delivery background
• Experience leading a team or cross functional projects
• Technical understanding and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with agile development methodologies, working closely with engineering teams and other stakeholders across all stages of product discovery and development.
• Proactive, iterative and practical approach to solving problems, the ability to find a new way when your original plan doesn't work as expected.
• JIRA understanding is desirable
• Are highly detail-oriented and thrive in a busy environment where impact and velocity of execution are paramount.
• Have Product Management experience in a similar size or scaling tech company
• Grasp of API design and how these are used by 3rd parties is a big plus.
